You board an incredible vessel that is basically a gorgeous hotel that sails the oceans of the world, stabilized with such equipment that feeling movement is minimal, similar to being in a car at times.

Imagine, you pack and unpack once. No hotel hopping from destination to destination!


You will enjoy lovely accommodations in your private stateroom (I always recommend selecting a balcony so you may enjoy not only the views but the fresh sea air too!)

Gourmet meals are a-plenty on each ship. Making decisions on where to dine is simple and included! Dress up for the Dining Room experience, or maybe you just feel like a burger or pizza in your shorts or swimsuit! It’s always your choice!

You will find so many entertainment options! From Broadway caliber shows to comedy clubs, some ships have casinos, and so much more!


Many ships have movie theaters that play the latest films and some classics too!

At-Sea Days are the best! You have the option to relax all day or perhaps take advantage of some of the onboard activities.



One of my favorite activities is Carnival’s SkyRide where you are bicycling through the air! Yep, that’s me in the red shorts!

I also really love Norwegian’s Go-Cart Raceway!

Enjoying the Spa onboard is another wonderful way to enjoy your time at sea. Ahhh relax with a professional massage… not to mention the various pools too.

Shopping onboard is something I always enjoy too, tax and duty-free! My Sis and I have met some of the most wonderful people from around the world on ships!

When in Port, adventure and exploring are made easy with each cruise line’s carefully selected offering of excursions. While there is an additional cost, it is completely up to you whether you wish to engage or simply explore the ports on your own.


Learn about the culture and enjoy the local foods, snorkel in the most beautiful waters, hike to ancient ruins or through rain forests. Whale watch seeing the magnificent underwater giants in their home in Alaska and breeding ground in Hawaii. Helicopter atop glaciers, even enjoy a narrated coach ride around each city learning the history.


There are so many amazing things to experience in life that take us away from our daily concerns and activities. And cruising is the very most cost-effective way to do it!
